2013 Polocrosse

Last year saw three of our Rockwood members, Emily-Kate Gilfillan, Morgan Griffiths and Katy Wise, representing their country at the Polocrosse World Cup International Challenge, which was ultimately won by team GB, captained by our own Emily-Kate Gilfillan.

These members started off with Rockwood with no experience and on Ponies which had never played before. Now we have Rockwod members who are competing nationally and internationally for their country, of which we are extremely proud.

We shall be organising Polocrosse rallies in the Spring, which together with training sessions that cater for absolute beginners up to advanced level, will provide an ideal opportunity to have a go at this fantastic equine sport. Sticks and balls will be provided for all members.

Looking ahead, we are hoping to arrange a demonstration, with the assistance of the UKPA for all of you who will be attending senior camp at  Northallerton Equestrian Centre this Summer.

We will also be entering teams into the Pony Club Championships this August.

So anyone who would like to represent Rockwood at the Pony Club Champs please get in touch and let me know, so I can put together teams and organise training.

Again this is open to all our members, regardless of your age or experience.
