The 31st October 2010 saw the Mini Members turnout in full fancy dress for the Halloween Show. Great weather, fantastically dressed up ponies and lots of supporters made this a fun packed event. The members were put into 2 teams the 'Scary Skeletons' or the 'Spoky Spiders'. Scores were calculated from the members jumping combined with their abiltity to hunt for pumpkins, grab a sweet and ride a broom stick! The winning team would need a wide range of skills.

Spooky Spiders:Lydia Taylor, Luke Grimshaw, Sophie Grimshaw, Rebecca Grayson and Emily Dunning 

Scary Skeletons: Emily Falle, Jess Falle, Scarlet Lawson and Edward Hearn

Results:

Class 1 Team Jumping: Both teams were level on jumping points after some brillant riding so each team nominated one rider to 'jump off' against the clock. Lydia Taylor rode for the Spooky Spiders and Edward Hearn for the Scary Skeletons. The Scary Skeletons won with a fast clear from Ed.

Class 2: Hunt the Pumpkin: There was no stopping the hungry Scary Skeletons in this race, they jumped well and then zoomed round with Luke finding the last pumpkin to take his team, Scary Skeletons, to a victory in this class.

Class 3: Witches and Wizards Go Flying; With scores even the pressure was rising in the arena! The Scary Skeletons went first recording a very fast time and looking very comfortable on their brooms. But the Spooky Spiders were not giving up and after jumping well they flew up the ring to just beat the Skeletons by 0.2sec! What a race.

Overall Winners: Spooky Spiders

Special mention to Rebecca Grayson and Luke Grimshaw for riding so well at their first mini show. Emily Falle was presented a 'Special Award' for her improvement, positive attitude and great determination over the past 6 months. Finally, a special mention to Scarlett Lawson who has worked really hard on her new pony Becky this summer and jumped clear in all her classes. And last but not least Congratulations to Jessica Falle who won the Fancy Dress with Harry dressed as the 'Little Devil!'

Thanks to all the show team for their help and to all the parents who offered help on the day. Also to Sam and Lucy, 2 older members form the Branch who came to help. Final thanks to Wendy and Michael for hosting the show and supplying soup from the couldron at the end off the event.
