Junior Camp 2013 - Tues 23 to Fri 26 July (Somerford)

Senior Camp 2013 - pm Mon 22 to Fri 26 July (Somerford)

Mini Camp 2013 - Sat 27 to Sun 28 July (Smallwood)

As the “camp season” approaches, we have been giving considerable thought to how best to manage the applications we expect to receive in the light of the likelihood that, once again, both Junior and Senior Camps are likely to be oversubscribed.

We want to ensure that all applications are dealt with as fairly as possible and, in an ideal world, no member would be disappointed. We do, however, live in the real world and therefore have decided that this year we will work to a publicised selection policy. This will remove the “scramble” for places as soon as the application forms are released and ensure that every application is considered on exactly the same criteria.

The camp application form will be published in the next few weeks and an initial closing date for applications announced. This will give all members the same opportunity to be considered for a place without the need for hand-delivery of forms at 3 a.m.! Late applications will be considered but will have to defer to those submitted on time. A waiting list will operate once available places are filled, with in time applications taking precedence.

I attach a copy of the Camp Selection Policy for your information.

You will note that the same strictures do not apply to Minis Camp.

Regards

Geoff
