On Friday 13th April we had the combined Training Rally at Richmond Equestrian Centre. Counting as a rally this was also a gentle in-house competition with Triers, Juniros and Seniors. Caroline Jackson and Hilary Hindmarsh kindly judged Dressage and Jane Graham ran and judged the showjumping. The arenas were laid out beautifully and formally with spooky flower pots as well. It was a valuable experience in both disciplines for everyone from lead-rein to 16.3hh. 56 members in all entered and the results were as follows:-

Senior One Day Event Report
The Zetland Hunt Pony Clubs Senior One Day Event was held on Sunday 10th June 2007 at Foxberry Chasers at Caldwell. There were over 100 competitors on this lovely sunny, dry day who competed at open and intermediate levels. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Metcalfe who kindly provided the course included some new fences which made the cross country more challenging and the show jumping section was designed by Karen Dixon.
The Open Individual for PC members was won by Laura Ritchie-Bland from the Zetland who also came second while Emma Hockney from the Cleveland came third. The Open for Seniors was won by Jo Mason with Jenny Smith coming second out of a class of two! The Intermediate class for PC members was split into two arenas due to the size of the class. Arena A was won by Laura Flood for the South Durham, followed by Harriet Orkney of the Bedale PC and Harriet Heap in third place riding for Ryburn Valley. Arena B was won by Frankie Fowden of the Bedale PC, second place was Gillian Warrior and third Laura Flood both from the South Durham.
The last class was Novice Open Individuals and that was won by Suzanne Russell on Pebbles and second was Eamon McIntyre on Cronkin Cruisin.
The Open Pony Club Members Team Section was won by the Cleveland PC with Emma Hockney, Emma Coverdale, Lucy Kendrew and Lucy Sutcliffe. Second were the Zetland Team with Jessica Collins, Laura Ritchie-Bland, Jessica Richardson and Verity Watson.
The Intermediate Pony Club Members Team Section was won by the South Durham team of Laura Flood, Gillian Warrior, Kathryn Berry and Helan Berry. Second were the Bedale West of Yore Team 2 with Holly Brown-Arton, Stephanie Lamb, Jennie Fewern, and Frankie Fowden.
Best Dressage and Best Zetland in the Open was won by Laura Ritchie-Bland and in Class Three: Arena A, Best Dressage was Alice Barker and Best Zetland was Jessica Collins; Arena B, Best Dressage was Jessica Woolfrey and Best Zetland was Daniel Alderson.
So congratulations to everybody and many thanks for everyone who helped on the day to ensure that it ran smoothly.
The Area Tetrathlon will take place at Foxberry on 14th and 15th July. Any competitors wishing to school over the course must do so before the two week cut off and with this in mind a special schooling day is available with Lucy Williams BHSII on Sat 30th June. This is the only day when the new complexes will be open for those Pony Club members to try under supervision with Lucy.
