The South Notts Pony Club held their tetrathlon on the 16th and 17th June 2007. As always the other pony clubs put in strong competition but our members worked hard and came home with some excellent results. Henry James was 2nd senior boy, Matt Milson came home with 1st junior boy (14 & under) - photo shown - and Alex Bowman a very good 2nd place. Latta Chauhan, Arabella Abbott and Harriett Clarke all worked very hard and got some good results being in teams that were placed - full results should follow
On the 5th and 6th of May 2007 a team of Brocklesby tetrathletes headed to Derbyshire to compete in the Meynell Tetrathlon.
The Saturday was the day of the cross country. For all standards it was a good testing course with a great variety of fences over some nice hilly countryside. All of our competitors rode well - and some learnt some valuable lessons (mainly about walking the cross country course with a little more attention!)
Sunday was a full day with the shoot first, followed by the swim and then the run. The competition was strong but the Brocklesby team kept focused and came home with their share of the prizes and a lot of personal best scores.
Henry James - 1st Seniors, Matt Milson 2nd Juniors, Alex Bowman 3rd Juniors, Harriet Clarke 3rd Junior girls (1st junior girls team with Latta Chauhan and 2 girls from the South Trent), Toby Bartlett 5th Minimus boys, Jonti Bartlett 1st mini mini boys, Molly Halmshaw 5th mini mini girls (triathlon) Arabella Abbott gave a fantastic performance in the mm girls, Vicky Colebrook 5th junior girls (triathlon).
The following photos show how the pony club seniors 'help sort out the juniors!' Thankyou to Arabella's mum (Mrs Abbott) for taking the photos.

Toby with two of his tet friends from the South Notts Pony Club after being with them in a team at the quorn tet 2006 - those were the days - lugging water around to help cool horses and riders after the cross country and sheltering from the sunshine - this year cancelled due to being water logged! Come on lets keep focussed - next year will be a good one!
