Cury Pony Club Team Show Jumping Competition - Feb 2006
Monday 20th saw yet another very successful day for Western Hunt Pony Club members...
The day kicked off with the Dengie Qualifier which, after a very fierce competition, saw Bryony Jelbert claim the victory on Grace Jones, closely followed by Emma Merril riding Cinnabar, who came 2nd, Morwenna Semmens riding B1, 3rd, and Eloise Philips riding Paddy Cool, 4th. All of whom are WHPC members..a brilliant result, well done to all riders and ponies!
Next was the team compeition, which saw many different Pony Clubs from across Cornwall. This consisted of 2 rounds and then a jump off at 3'6 which was ridden by an allocated team member. After a nailbitingly tense jump off, honours were claimed by The Western Hunt team of Lucy Hardy (Secret Service), Ross Nicholls (Heidi), Morwenna Semmens (B1) and Lucy Tucker (Livelihood). Lucy scorched round the jump off in an unbeatable time..for, it must be noted, the 3rd year running!!!
In hot pursuit, was the WHPC team of Bryony Jelbert (Grace Jones), Emma Merrill (Cinnabar), Megan Care (Colleen) and Eloise Phillips (Paddy Cool), who came 2nd, with Bryony riding the jump off.
4th was the team of Lucy Hardy (Chumley), Ryan Came-Johnson (Jake), Chloe Barlow-Griffin (Shadow), and Katie Came-Johnson (Pepsi Max), which saw Ryan complete the Jump off in yet another very fast time.
6th place saw the WHPC team of Tom Christopher (Maverick), Morwenna Semmens (Ben), Lucy While (Molly), and Katie Jelbert (Murphi).
