RESULTS AND OVERVIEW

Four Western Pony Club Show Jumping teams competed in the Team Show Jumping
competition hosted by the Cury at Chiverton on Monday, February 19th.
A Western team won this event, and the other Western teams were placed 2nd,
equal 3rd and equal 5th.

After a hard-fought competition, 2 Western teams were equal on a 0 penalty
score and decided to jump off for first and second place.
The final result was:
1st Western Red Team: Claire Cook on Drummer (jump off); Ross Nicholls on
Heidi; Eloise Phillips on Paddy Cool and Edward Sampson on Storm, who all
jumped double clears.
2nd Western Blue Team: Ryan Came-Johnson on Jake; Lucy While on Clara (jump
off); Katie Came-Johnson on Pepsi Max and Hayley Hubbard on Kelis.
=3rd Claire Cook on Secret Service; Megan Care on Colleen; Morwenna Semmens
on Guinea a Minute and Rebecca Keast on Troy.
=5th Carolyn Richards on October; Katie Jelbert on Grace Jones; Morwenna
Semmens on B-one and Kate Whiting on Bailey.
In the Dengie Qualifier event, Western member Tom Christopher qualified for
the Finals at Duchy College on Maverick and Lucy While came 5th with Clara.
Claire Cook also qualified for the Dengie Finals on Secret Service the day
before.
On the same day, 2 Western Pony Club members travelled to Tall Trees for the
British Dressage grading competition.
Lucy Tucker and Livelihood was placed in the C Squad and Teal Anthoney on
Dunowen in the Fledglings. Well done to both girls!

Western Pony Club members travelled to Devon to compete in the Dulverton
West Team Show Jumping Competition on February 21st.
Edward Sampson on Storm and Cecily Ponsford on Tara both received rosettes
for their fast double-clear rounds in the Mini Competition for those aged 12
and under.
Eloise Phillips won the Junior Individual competition on Paddy Cool.
The Western Team consisting of:
Tom Christopher on Maverick;
Lucy While on Clara;
Carolyn Richards on October;
Claire Cook on Secret Service,
came a very close third in the Open competition over a challenging, up to
height track, which finished at 9.30 pm.
Claire Cook came 3rd in the Individual competition on Drummer.
