Camp 2007

 

Camp this year for the first time was held at Riseholme Agricultural College nr Lincoln, we had 23 members attend, and what a lovely week they had, the sun was out every day making things very pleasant for every one.

Gratefull thanks go to all the people who put a lot of thought into the organising of camp and plotting who does what, to the parents who stayed all week to watch over the members, to do yard duties and supply the members with drinks and nibbles during the day. Thank you Carolyn Drury who was camp manager again this year and her team of helpers Debra Torr, Tarcey Carter,  Jo Whitmore and Heather Watkins.

Big thank yous to parents who helped clean up and leave the campus very clean and tidy at the end of camp, the stable area looked immculate.

 

There were 5 rides and the rides had 2 visits to Charlie Hoods cross country course during the week as well as doing flat work and show jumping in the the arenas and indoor school on the campus.

 

The stables were all under cover, very big and roomy, some had shavings and others had straw beds, the horses all looked very comfy.

When I went into camp on Wednesday to see how things were progressing and to see how everyone had settled in, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the members I spoke said they were having a really good time, the food great and plenty of it, I was invited to stay to lunch in the resturant and I can comfirm the food was good.

 

2 Members passed there D+ test while at camp they were Daniella Ibbotson and Rebecca Anderson WELL DONE  girls.

The camp cup went to Sammy Render.

David Jacklin came in to camp and did a photo shoot on 2 days and did a pack of photos for the members which contained many photos, David has also posted alot of photos on his website www.jaq.net of members at camp and Charlie Hoods.
