Showjumping News May 2008

 

Hickstead Team  Arena UK    TUESDAY 27th May

 

Would those wishing to be in the Hickstead team or other teams on that day please EMAIL me at graizelound@aol.com - before 12th May

 

We are hoping that the team will be able to jump as a team in the open horse/pony class at our team jumping, although we realise that you may have other commitments.

 

Please note the day, it is mid-week which may cause a problem.  It may be possible to share lifts if parents are working.

 

There are also other team classes –

Small open  - 1m – Hickstead team members will automatically entered as a warm-up unless they request otherwise

 

 

Please let me have names/classes

13.2/14 years and under – 85cm

14.2/16 years and under – 90cm

under 10 years (no pony height restriction) – 70cm

12.2/12 years and under – 75cm                                            

 

Again, let me have names and classes via email

 

Scunthorpe Team Jumping

 

Please email me on the above address before 15th May if you wish to be in the teams, the schedule is in the yearbook.

 

Please let me know which classes you wish to enter. If you have already arranged your own team please let me have the details asap.

 

Area Novice, Intermediate and Open – 9th August – Hargate Arena

 

Please indicate via email before 1st July if you wish to be in these teams  I am hoping to try to put together potential teams in time for our team jumping at Epworth so that you can compete together (building team-spirit !!).

 

Lincolnshire Team Relay

 

I have entered two teams, but we may only be allocated one !

I have to send the entries in by 1st June, and would like to arrange a training/selection session on 22nd May at the Epworth showfield, we will be setting up for the team jumping the following day.  Again, please email me before 15th May if you wish to enter.  Please make sure it does not clash with GCSE exams and that your parents are aware it is on a schoolday, some schools are getting a bit funny about you having time off for such events.  I cannot alter the team without a lot of aggro once the final team has gone in to Lincs Show, so I must ensure that all members are OK to go.

 

It is always better to email me rather than phone

 

Except the Lincolnshire Show Relay, Hickstead and Area Novice, Intermediate and Open teams – all team members will be expected to pay half the cost of the entry fee e.g. £32 per team works out at £4 each.

Showjump training

 

All in the morning at Claire Farnhams in Amcotts as she has an all weather surface when the weather and the ground improves we will be moving on to grass.

Maximum of 4/5 in a group, norm is 3 or 4.

All sessions last for 1hr approx , normally fun from 10am until 1 or 2pm depending on numbers.

Plenty of parking no reversing required!!!!!!!!!!
