Horse and Pony Care Quiz
held on April 22

There were twelve junior teams and seven senior teams competing at the Horse and Pony Care quiz, which this year was held at the Apollo stables.

In the Senior Horse Care competition, LPC came FIRST and THIRD, team 1 have qualified for the National Championships in August.
Team 1 : Tara Mcgennity, Claudia Maclean, Jo Lindhofer.
Team 2 : Ebony Lawman, Laura Poulter, Rhea Mcleod.

In the Junior competition LPC came THIRD.
Team : Michaela Thulborn, Fiona Smee, Emily Dickson.

An excellent performance by all who took part. Debby Smee has kindly provided the above photograph showing the Junior team with their rosettes.

Area Quiz
 held on March 9

LPC came 2nd - only 2 points behind the winning team after several closely fought rounds on topics as varied as "Equitation", "Brand Names", "Road Safety" and "General Knowledge". Very well done to those who took part. LPC only entered one team for the area competition this year, so come on you guys, a few more volunteers needed for next year.

Show Jumping
LPC took three teams Show Jumping at ILPH Snetterton on a miserably wet Monday 12 February 2007 - what a way to spend the first day of half term! Not everyone's spirits were dampened as LPC members took first, second and sixth place in the 2' 3" individuals. Several members jumped good clears whilst others built up their experience in indoor jumping. None of our teams were placed but the 2' 7" team were nearly there!
