Gleneagles Show Jumping Competition Results
Sunday 26th November
We had five teams at Gleneagles for this very hotly contested competition. Everyone competing had a good day and completed both rounds successfully. In the Junior 2'6" competition our team of Lucy Moffat, Jamie Struthers, Lauren McKinney and Freddie Keith came 8th our of 23 finishing on a 0 score with Lucy getting the second fastest time in the competition. In the Intermediate 3' competition Ross, Alice, David and Nicole all went clear in their second round to get 8th place out of 18. The Open teams were 5th and 7th out of 8 teams. Ross had the most exciting recovery of the day and there were great double clears from Lucy M, Lauren, Freddie, Alice, Alistair and Helen, with no eliminations or cricket scores from anyone - well done.
Jumpcross at Brechin
Saturday 16th October
Well done to Sarah Cunningham for winning her class at the Jumpcross competition at Brechin. Claire Dewar also won her class.
Balbeggie PC Huntertrials at Auchlishie
There were three Fife Hunt Members in the Nursery Novice out of which Jamie Struthers got first place on Puffin and Jemma Christie got 5th on Rusty. Despite all the heavy rain in other places the sun came out whilst we were at Auchlishie and everyone had a great time.
JRN Championships
The most outstanding result from one of our members was Vicky White who was fifth at the JRN Championships CCI* at the week-end. This was a three-day competion with the cream of the Eventing Junior riders taking part, so after completing Blair for the first time this really rounded off a very successful year for Vicky. Let's hope we see her some more at Pony Club and we wish her the best of luck in achieving her ambition to pass her "H" and possibly "A" test when she is with us.
Grass Roots
Fife Hunt 'A' Caitlin Macrae, Lynsey Drysdale, Victoria Bowie and Colleen Macrae and Fife Hunt 'B' Caitlin Wood, Jenny Summersgill, Scott Drysdale and Jamie Struthers performed well in a very close competition. Glenrothes 'A' won overall with Fife 'A' second and 'B' third. Jamie Struthers won the individual handy pony and Caitlin Macrae the individual dressage and was overall points winner.
The event was very friendly and well run and everyone had a good time, even the weather was kind. Well done to all!

Aswanley and other Horse Trials News
Well done to Emma Lawrie for going double clear in the Pre-Novice to come 9th in her section.
Louisa Milne-Home (past FHPC member)was placed twice in the Novice, having won the Novice section at Gleneagles the previous week - a good effort on 6year old horses.
Danny Oakden has also been going well on several different rides in the Novice and Pre-Novice Horse Trials sections. Wills Oakden was 5th in the JRN at Gleneagles. Vicky White had a great run at Blair Horse Trials One-star, getting round with only one stop at her first attempt to finish a very creditable 23rd - not bad for a 17 year old on her 8-yearold horse she has brought on herself.

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th August
The Week-end of 14/15 August saw success in many forms for lots of our members.
There was a large contingent at Pittenweem Gymkana which is now in its second year in a rejuvenated form with an enthusiastic new committee. Lots of trophies were won by FHPC members. Caitlin Macrae won the Working hunter Championships and Louise Peddie was reserve. Anina Dowman came away with 3 trophies in the working hunter classes. Jamie Struthers won the 13.2 Intermediate Show Jumping, and Alistair McKinney won the 14.2 Open Show Jumping, while Joanna Peddie won the Open Show Jumping and Caroline topped off the day to win the Challenge Trophy in the top Jumping Class of the Show.
The same day the Games Team were at Kinross Show and ran West Perthshire to a close tie, to be beaten by just point in the final race. We used to think West Perthshire were untouchable! Angus and East Stirling were 3rd and 4th.
Then on the Sunday Angus and Perth Hunt ran a One-day-event at Auchlishie. Fife had a particularly strong entry in the 13-14 year age group taking 6 of the top 8 places. Well done to Lorna Balfour 2nd and 4th, Alastair McKinney 3rd, Sophie Newman-Sanders 6th, Alice Drysdale 7th and Gabi Wolf 8th. Alice was also second in the Dressage a score of 20.6.
