Welcome to the Atherstone Hunt Branch of the Pony Club web site. This web site is split into the following sections, to help you easily find the information you are looking for:
The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding. There are more than 43,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain, belonging to either a Branch or a Centre - there are more than 350 of each of these. Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions.
The Atherstone Hunt Branch is one of the Pony Clubs older branches, established in 1931 and is part of Pony Club Area 7. As you will see by browsing the pages of this branch web site, there is lots that goes on in the branch and we run a wide range of activities for all ages (up to 25) and levels of ability.
2007 was a very successful year for the Branch, with Atherstone members making some very credible achievements at Area competitions and the annual Pony Club Championships, in a range of disciplines including winning the Junior Horse and Pony Care and with teams placed in the Senior Horse and Pony Care, Junior Mounted Games, Polo and Dressage to Music and individuals placed in Novice Dressage and Dressage to Music. Continuing on the successes from the Championships, the Branch's Prince Philip Cup team WON both the Farmers Guardian Trophy AND the PRINCE PHILIP CUP at the Horse of the Year show.
In addition to the competitions that many of the Branch members attend, an essential part of the branchs activities is the regular training that we run. During the year we run a wide range of rallies (both ridden and stable management), that cover the range of ability within the branch so theres something to suit everybody! A key part of the Branch calendar is our summer camps, which over the years have been a huge success and have seen increasing numbers year-on-year. The many activities we run are a great way to make new friends and learn whilst also having lots of fun!
In addition, we also run training centred around the Pony Club test structure, and during 2007 have helped members pass various tests from E right through to A(H)! The Branch also has a particular emphasis on Riding and Road Safety training which we feel is a very important aspect of rider training that applies to all riders.

To help us achieve all of this, the Branch is very fortunate to have a number of talented and knowledgeable instructors, who help all the members to achieve and exceed their goals. There is also a wealth of volunteers that the branch is very much grateful of, who help run the branch and its many activities.
As a branch we feel that our branch web site is an extremely useful resource to keep our branch members abreast of what is going on in the branch. Please keep checking back to the web site, as we are continually updating it on a weekly basis. Two key pages within the web site and the Latest News page and the Branch Programme page both of these list up and coming events and also any news.
We hope that you find this web site useful please let us know what you think of it! If you have any questions about the branch then please contact one of our committee members.
The branch newsletter reports on the success of branch members and teams and provides information on future training and competitions. The newsletter is published three times a year and is distributed by post to all branch members. You can also view electronic copies of the programme here, online.
The Atherstone 'A' is the branch's well known logo that makes the branch distinguishable at many competitions. A range of merchandise is available that features the Atherstone 'A' logo - the profit from the sale of this merchandise helps fund the branch.
