Volunteering / Volunteers Week 2016

Volunteers’ Week is an annual campaign which takes place in June and celebrates the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

This year, the ‘week’ has been extended to run from 1-12 June to give even more time to celebrate!

The end of Volunteers’ Week will also coincide with the Patron’s Lunch on 12 June, a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s lifetime of service to more than 600 charities and organisations to which she acts as Patron. Communities across the UK will be encouraged to participate by holding their own street party or event. Why not consider including a street party to bring those together in your community.

The Pony Club use Volunteers’ Week as a springboard to say a huge ‘thank you’ to its vast network of dedicated volunteers, without whom The Pony Club would not be able to exist for the enjoyment and benefit of its thousands of Members.

Have you got your Volunteer Badge yet?

Supported by equestrian superstar Zara Phillips, the Volunteer Badge is available to all volunteers to wear and be proud of!
