Only pre-booked horseboxes will be allowed to park. The International Regional 100 Tetrathlon Competition

Area 6 (East Midlands) hosted The Pony Club International Regional 100 Tetrathlon Competition this year, with riding, running and camping at Aylesford XC, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, featuring 111 Pony Club competitors from the UK and Ireland competing for their regions.

Jack Donaldson, of Northern England, took the best boys shoot with 960, Kieran Harby, East of England swam 14 lengths 11m in his 4 minutes. The girls had a 3-way tie best shoot on 960, for Alex Bousfield, Francesca Ryde both Central England, and Mali Howell for Wales & Borders. In the swim, Alex had the best 3-minute swim of 10 lengths 9m.

2 phases complete, the teams headed back to Aylesford to walk the challenging xc course, beautifully designed and built by Organiser Dave Hallam, host Peter Walker and their team, as the weather well and truly broke from the heatwave.
The weather provided its own challenge, former East of England tetrathletes: medic Dr Henry James and vet Dr Alex Bowman were preventing the marquee blowing away in the strong winds, until additional storm strapping was in place – slightly delaying the Tet party and it’s “Call On Me” / 1980’s theme.

Sunday brought an early xc ride start, where 1400 point rides were rare with only 11 boys and 4 girls, as both the optimum time and some challenging technical lines were hard to achieve. Finally, the run phase, where best run went to Guy Anderson, of Central England and Chloe Olford of South West.

Individual winners were Kieran Harby of East of England and Alex Bousfield of Central England.
