Polo / Polo Training

Have a look at the tab below to find out more information on how your Branch/Centre can claim funding for polo taster days or rallies.

It is the intent of The Pony Club and HPA that all players will engage with training at Branch, Area and National level to improve their game and their standards of horsemastership and pony welfare.

It is recommended that players 12 years and above should have passed their C Test. Players in LOR, LAN, REN and GAN must have passed their HPA Rules Test.

A training event includes the following activities:

  • PC Branch instruction, including working rallies.
  • PC polo rallies.
  • PC/HPA courses organised at Branch, Area or National level.
  • PC/HPA overseas training.
  • PC/HPA lectures on horse management.
  • PC/HPA veterinary talk.
  • HPA Developement Courses.
