Body Protector Rule

The Pony Club does not make the use of body protectors compulsory, except for all cross-country riding and Pony Racing whether it be training or competing. The responsibility for choosing body protectors and the decision as to their use must rest with Members and their parents. It is recommended that a rider’s body protector should not be more than 2% of their body weight.

Other Rules

All Rule Books are available for download below. It is strongly recommended that you print out or buy a copy of the appropriate discipline Rule Book(s) so that you always have it to hand for your competitions. If you wish to purchase a 'hard-copy' of any Rule Book then you can do so from our online shop at a cost of £3.00

Unfortunately there is an error in the Eventing, Show Jumping, Tetrathlon and Pony Racing rulebooks. The rule referring to Micklem bridles is incorrect. Please amend as follows: “The Micklem Multibridle is permitted". Remove "only with a simple snaffle bit, as per current Dressage rules.”
