The Pony Club is seeking a Coach Training Executive and a Member Training Executive.

Coach Training Executive

The Pony Club is seeking a Coach Training Executive.  The role will be mainly office based at the Pony Club office in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire but may involve travel around the country to attend events.  The successful candidate will work alongside the Member Training Executive, reporting to the Training Officer and the Training Committee to ensure that all stakeholders receive a high quality service to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Training Committee and the Training Officer to ensure the continued development of the Coach Training pathway.
• Work with the other members of the Training team and the Training Committee to ensure there are mechanisms in place to promote and deliver the Coach training pathway to as many coaches and prospective coaches as possible
• Help delivery of centrally controlled aspects of the Coach Training pathway, such as the UKCC courses, coaching conferences and other CPD/ coach training events.
• Assist Branches, Centres and Area Representatives to ensure the delivery of the other aspects of the coaching training pathway (for example, general CPD days and the Intro to coaching courses).
• Update coach qualification and certification details on the coaches database. 
• Collaborate with the IT team to help develop the coach database to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
• Collection of statistics regarding the number of Coaches achieving the different stages in the Training pathway,  working to increase the number at each level year on year by promoting the opportunities to coaches and prospective coaches around the country, either directly or via Branches and Centres.
• Work with the Training Committee and the Training Officer to ensure that training resources are kept up to date with the latest developments in equestrian science, sports coaching and other relevant research. 
• Help investigate and instigate new ways to deliver training and CPD resources to Coaches (via websites, videos, e-learning platforms etc).
• Ensure any queries regarding coach training are dealt with efficiently.

Skills & experience

• Previous administrative experience with good IT skills
• Equestrian knowledge, preferably with Pony Club experience.
• Knowledge of sports coach qualifications or similar qualifications desirable.
• A team player with a flexible outlook
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Self motivated, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload The post is subject to the employment rules of The Pony Club.

Salary: £18000 - £20000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Hours of work: Full time, usually 37.5 hours per week, but from time to time there will be additional work, particularly around events such as all the Pony Club Championships, the Pony Club conference and other key events, which do often happen at weekends (when TOIL is offered). The job will therefore entail some travel and overnight attendance..

Holiday entitlement is 25 days per holiday year plus English bank holidays to be taken at such times to be agreed.

Member Training Executive

The Pony Club is seeking a Member Training Executive.  The role will be mainly office based at the Pony Club office in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire but may involve travel around the country to attend events.  The successful candidate will work alongside the Coach Training Executive, reporting the Training Officer and the Training Committee to ensure that all stakeholders receive a high quality service to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• To work with the other training team members and the training committee to ensure there are mechanisms in place to promote and deliver the Member training pathway to as many Members as possible.
• Contribute to the development of the Members database in conjunction with the IT team to ensure that it is developed to meet the needs all stakeholders.
• Collection of statistics regarding the number of Members achieving the different stages in the Training pathway.
• Help promote tests and badges to Branches and Centres around the UK, working to increase the number at each level year on year.
• Work with the Training Committee and Training Officer to ensure that resources supporting Member training are kept up to date with the latest developments in equestrian science and other relevant research.
• Help investigate and develop new ways to deliver the training content to Members (via websites, videos, e-learning platforms etc)
• Assist in the organisation of Member training and test days.
• Help with the organisation and delivery of other centrally run Member training courses (such as the Pony Club Talent Pathway)
• Ensure any queries regarding Member training are dealt with efficiently.

• Knowledge of some form of educational/training systems for young people desirable.
• A team player with a flexible outlook
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Self motivated, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
