The PolyPads Four Nations

The UK saddle pad manufacturer, PolyPads, have agreed to be the title sponsor of the 2019 Four Nations competition, making it “The PolyPads Four Nations”.

The competition, which takes place on the 20th and 21st of July in Backford in Cheshire, will see teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland compete at three different age levels, Minis, Juniors and Seniors, as well as competing for the overall Four Nations Double Diamond Trophy.

PolyPads, who have produced their market leading saddle pads since 1988, will provide saddle pads to each of the 48 players in the competition, ensuring that their horses benefit from the comfortable and pressure dispersing technology. PolyPads are also going to help support the Pony Club Polocrosse Championships in August by donating prizes for the competition.

Jan Whitehead, Pony Club Polocrosse Chair, said “We are delighted to have PolyPads supporting us for this year’s competition. Their pads are very popular with our players and their support means we can provide our teams with high quality kit while keeping the cost down to our members. We are very grateful for their support and look forwards to working with them for both the Four Nations and the Pony Club Polocrosse Championships”

Emily Rice of Polypads said “PolyPads is delighted to be supporting the Pony Club Polocrosse Four Nations Competition and the Polocrosse at the Pony Club Championships. Polocrosse is such an exciting and competitive sport that really encourages teamwork – something we wholly advocate. It is wonderful to have such a customisable product that lends itself so well to Polocrosse, and keeps the ponies comfortable when competing and training. We are very excited to watch the teams in action!”

The Four Nations competition is also receiving support from a number of other sponsors. Polocrosse Extreme will be helping sponsor all four teams in the competition and each team also has their own individual sponsors, namely:

2019 will be the first year that there is an all Ireland team in the competition. Previously in 2015 and 2017 the competition featured a Northern Ireland team but this year Irish Pony Club members are also able to nominate and take part, with the 2019 Ireland team consisting of a mixture of players from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The teams for each nation have already been announced and can be seen here. With a mixture of brand new faces and returning players it should be a great competition. The quality of the polocrosse has continually improved over the last four years and organisers are confidently predicting this event will be the best yet.

Spectators are very welcome at the event and more details are available through our Facebook page @PCpolocrosse or on our dedicated event page on www.ponyclubpolocrosse.org
