HSBC and THE PONY CLUB ANNOUNCE EXCITING PLANS FOR 2011

HSBC has extended its contract as sponsor of The Pony Club. For the third year running, HSBC and The Pony Club are working together to create the HSBC Eventing Training Days Programme, which is designed to capitalise on the talent and enthusiasm of Pony Club Members. The programme consists of specifically designed Eventing Training Days in 2011, with each of the training sessions being conducted by a top trainer providing an invaluable and unique experience.

As part of this partnership, HSBC is giving the winners and runners-up of the Open and Intermediate Team Classes at the National Eventing Championships the chance to attend a bespoke Training Day with William Fox-Pitt, Mary King and Harry Meade. The lucky riders will be invited to join Britain’s favourite Eventing Champions for a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the country’s best.

Commenting on HSBC’s involvement with The Pony Club, Giles Morgan, HSBC Group Head of Sponsorship, said: “HSBC has been a proud sponsor of The Pony Club since 2009 and the bank is delighted to be continuing to support the up and coming talent of our country in this fantastic sport”

Supporting youth and community is at the centre of all HSBC’s commitments and through this sponsorship HSBC hopes that riders at the grass roots levels of Eventing will be encouraged to develop their skills.

The HSBC Pony Club Eventing Training Programme is now underway with 19 dressage, show jumping and cross-country training days scheduled across Great Britain.
