All Open League classes will be run strictly under 2012 Pony Club Eventing Rules. The following additional rules will also apply:
Competitions
1. Competitions must be held in 2012.
2. Branch Organisers running a Level 5 Open Eventing class (SJ & XC must be 1.10m) must register with The Pony Club Office at least six weeks before their event if they wish it to be included in the league. Please use the League Event Application Form to register. There is no charge to the organiser for running a league competition.
All applications must be approved by the relevant Area Representative.
2012 League Application Form Area Organisers do not need to fill this in - all Area Competitions are automatically included.
3. All Open Area Competitions will automatically be included in the league. The Open Championships will not be included in the league.
4. All league competitions will be listed on The Pony Club website. Entries should be made direct to the Organiser or Event Secretary, not The Pony Club Office.

Eligibility
5. Riders must be Members or Associate Members of The Pony Club.
6. Open to any horse/rider combination, except BE Grade 1 horses (61 or more points) which have completed at OI/AI/A level during the current year.

7. League points will be awarded to each horse/rider combination, according to the number of Pony Club Members starting in the Dressage phase of the competition. Points will be awarded as follows:

8. Riders may ride more than one horse; each horse/rider combination will be awarded points separately.
9. Combinations competing Hors Concours will not be awarded any points.
10. Some Area Competitions may take non-qualifying entries (e.g. a section open to all, Pony Club Members competing out of Area or riding a second horse etc). Any Pony Club Members competing in these sections will be awarded points as detailed above. In the event of a non-Member achieving a placing eligible for points, the points will be awarded to the next highest placed Pony Club Member.
11. Organisers must forward full results for their league class(es) immediately after the event. All points will be allocated by The Pony Club Office.

12. The league table will be updated on the website monthly.

13. At the end of the league series, the winner will be the horse/rider combination with the most points.
14. In the event of a tie in points at the end of the league series, the highest placed combination will be the one with the least XC faults (jumping and time) in total across the league events at which they earned points.
Awards
15. Rosettes will be presented to all riders placed 1st - 6th on the day of each league competition. It is the responsibility of the Organiser to request the correct number of rosettes from The Pony Club Office according to the number of sections they will be running.
16. Rosettes may be forwarded after the competition, at the discretion of the Organiser, if the rider or their representative is not available to collect them at prize giving. All unused rosettes and prizes must be returned to The Pony Club office with the results.
17. Rosettes awarded to the top 10 horse/rider combinations at the end of the league series. Further prizes will be confirmed
