Pet of The Month

At The Blue Cross we aim to re-home horses into active homes that suit their individual needs.

Many of our horses and ponies are re-homed as ridden horse’s, however there are a number of horses and ponies that are looking for non ridden companion homes due to a variety of different reasons. Having a suitable companion for your ridden horse can benefit not only your horse’s wellbeing and performance but also provide you with a lot of joy to.

Sam a 12hh, 6 year old, native type gelding.Sam will make a capable and fun all round pony.  3 good paces, he works well in the school and has started some basic jumping.  He hacks alone or in company and is good in traffic

Sam is easy to handle, good to shoe, box and clip

Sam is still quite green but is showing an excellent attitude towards his work and is looking for an experienced home to continue his education and training.

If you think you could offer Splodge everything he needs or one of our other horses and ponies looking for new homes then please see the Blue Cross website.

Non ridden companions are rehomed under the healthcare package, which is kindly sponsored by Fort Dodge Animal Health. This includes financial support for an annual veterinary check, dental examination and teeth rasp, annual flu/tetanus vaccination and the supply of their first years worming treatments in the form of Equest & Equest Pramox.
