Pet of The Month
At The Blue Cross we aim to re-home horses into active homes that suit their individual needs.
Many of our horses and ponies are re-homed as ridden horses, however there are a number of horses and ponies that are looking for non ridden companion homes due to a variety of reasons. Having a suitable companion for your ridden horse can benefit not only your horse’s well-being and performance but also provide you with a lot of joy too.
Name: Marmite
Breed: Native
Age: 14 years 4 months
Height: 13.2hh
Marmite, who came into the Burford Centre as she was outgrown, is a talented 13.2hh mare looking for a home as an all-round riding pony. At her previous home she successfully took part in all Pony Club activities and was a fantastic older child’s pony. Since being at the centre, Marmite has demonstrated that she is a good all-round pony, working nicely in the school in three correct paces. She is happy to hack, both independently and in company. She loves to jump, but she needs a strong, confident rider- an experienced teenager would be ideal; especially one she can happily compete with. She is a pleasure to handle and enjoys being groomed. She is also good in traffic.
The Blue Cross holds up to 100 horses and ponies at any one time. Even if Marmite is not available please be assured we are still actively trying to find you a suitable match for your needs and will be in contact if successful.
If you think you could offer Marmite everything she needs or one of our other horses and ponies looking for new homes then please see the Blue Cross website.
