Blue Cross Horse & Pony Care Competition
Welfare of the pony is paramount to The Pony Club, the Horse and Pony Care Competition allows our Members to demonstrate their knowledge and practical horsemanship.
It has become an integral part of The Pony Club Championships where teams of three Members must demonstrate their practical and theoretical knowledge of equine welfare as required by The Pony Club tests.
The Blue Cross are extremely generous sponsors of this competition. The last few years they have also had an education tent at the Championships for spectators and competitors to get some hands on practice!

This year, two candidates in the Senior competition showed outstanding knowledge in their practical horsecare. Hannah Clarke from Gillian’s Riding School and Jess Campbell from the Sandown Chace have been awarded a special rosette and salver for their achievements.
