Welcome

The Edinburgh Branch was established in 1994 and is part of Pony Club Area 19.
Edinburgh is a small and friendly branch with a very active membership. We take part in many varied activities both mounted and dismounted. All members are encouraged and given the opportunity to participate in team events.
Rallies are held in a variety of locations throughout the Greater Edinburgh area.
The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding. There are more than 43,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain, belonging to either a Branch or a Centre - there are more than 350 of each of these. Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions.
Internationally The Pony Club has a membership of over 110,000 across 18 countries, making it the largest association of riders in the world. Most British equestrian medal winners at The Olympics and World Championships have been Members of The Pony Club.

Congratulations to Area Team Competitors
Nicki and Felix

Congratulations to Aimee Gardener who came 6th as an individual in the Area Open Eventing competition and qualified for the Championships at Draycot Manor. The Championships were extremely challenging but Aimee achieved a creditable dressage score, made it round the cross country with only one run out at a skinny, and had a couple down in the showjumping. All together a great performance from Aimee and Tommy.

Many congratulations to the Junior and Novice Teams who took part in the Area Show Jumping at Ingliston. The Junior team finished 2nd and the Novice team finished 3rd after a very close jump off at the last minute. The Junior team was Felix Feather, Sarah-Jane Brunton, Christine Reynolds and Emma Anderson. The Novice team was Anna Hudson, Daisy Anderson and Sarah Watson. A great effort from them since all their scores had to count with only 3 in the team.

Many congratulations also to Nicki Melville who finished 1st in her section in the Area Eventing at Tyninghame and to Felix Feather who finished 6th in his section. The Junior team missed being placed by the narrowest of margins.

Well done to all of the other teams and individuals who took part in the Area Eventing and in the Area dressage competitions. There were some great performances but sadly no placings. Look out for a full report and lots of photos on the new web site next month.
