The Championships were held on Sunday 20th September at The College, Keysoe, Bedfordshire and you can now download The Pony Club Endurance Championships Results 2009  Whaddon Chase Whizzers

Sections & Qualification

 

Senior Individual

13 years and over who have qualified by completing two rides at the appropriate level (Novice, Intermediate or Open)

Senior Team

Teams of 3 or 4 (best 3 scores to count). 13 years and over. Branches who have qualified 3 or 4 individuals at the same level are eligible to enter them as a team at this level. Team members 13 years and over will also be eligible for the individual awards.

Junior Individual

Eight to 12 year olds who have qualified by completing two rides the appropriate level. All Juniors must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or over) with a maximum of two children to one adult.

Junior Team

Teams of 3 or 4 (best 3 scores to count). 8 to 12 year olds Branches who have qualified 3 or 4 individuals at the same level are eligible to enter them as a team at this level. Team members will also be eligible for the individual awards . All Juniors must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or over) with a maximum of two children to one adult.

Except for the Junior championships no adult supervision will be permitted

These distances and speeds will be used with the Pony Club performance charts at the appropriate level.

 

Entering EGB , SERC on ILDRA Rides

Log on to either the:

where the current venues and schedules can be found.

  • To enter, download entry form, fill in, write a large Pony Club in the top right hand corner, and send with appropriate entry fee to the secretary of the ride between Eight and two weeks before the ride (see opening date).  Remember to enclose a large s.a.e. with large letter stamp
  • Maps, starting times and other information will be sent to you at least a week before the ride.

Master Cards

Master cards are the only form of acceptable proof of pervious distance/qualification.  You must keep your Master card safe and present it to the secretary at the start of every ride. Master cards are available free of charge from Pony Club Headquarters.

Registering your Qualificiation

When the combination of horse and rider have qualified for the Endurance Championships, you need to register with Pony Club Headquarters.

  1. Photocopy your master card.
  2. Send the photocopy with details of the rides where you achieved qualification, speeds taken and heart rates at final inspection to: The Endurance Secretary, The Pony Club, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warks, CV8 2RW
  3. You will receive in return
    • Qualifying Certificate
    • Entry form for Championships and additional information
  4. If you qualify at more than one level, you may only ride at one level at the Championships.

NB: Rides from 1st September will be deemed qualifiers for the 2010 final and 3 qualifying rides will need to be successfully completed for qualification

Awards

The ‘Carr & Day & Martin' Performance rosettes of the appropriate level (Merlin, Kestrel, Osprey, Eagle) will be presented to those who have completed a ride successfully. To be ordered by ride Organisers from Pony Club Headquarters.

If you complete a ride successfully at an E.G.B. ride you will also receive that rides completion rosette.

Mileage badges. To be sewn on to the arm of your Pony Club sweat shirt. For accomplishing  accumulative distances of 100km, 250km, 500km, 1000km, and every 1000km thereafter.
