BOOKING RALLIES
- Plan ahead, book into rallies in good time and return Booking form by Deadline Date on form, enter the dates in your diary.
- The Programme for each holiday is sent to you at least three weeks before the holidays, so you have planty of time to decide and book the rallies you want and get the form and fee to your Ride Leader
- Return your booking form with the appropriate fee, either by cheques or Rally Tokens ( These can be purchased from the secretary Fran Lockyer £2.50 or £5 Tokens available) to your Ride Leader by the date requested. Cheques should be made payable to Wilton Hunt Branch of the Pony Club. Please send separate cheques for each ride. We no longer accept one cheque for the Holidays.
- If you have to withdraw from a rally let your Ride Leader know as soon as possible as there might be a waiting list. A refund cannot be guaranteed as a commitment to cost will have been made.
- REMEMBER to ring your Ride Leader for times 2 Days before your Rally for Times and any changes that might have occured.
- Let you ride Leader know when you book if you are sharing transport as this might affect the planning of groups.
ATTENDING RALLIES
- Arrive in good time so that you are ready to ride at the start of your session.
- Make sure your Ride Leader knows you have arrived, and find out if there have been any changes etc.. to the session.
- At the end of your rally please remember to thank your instructor and to thank you ride leader before you leave.
- Take to all rallies the necessary equipment for removing droppings, straw etc from parking areas before you leave. Many people give freely of their venue but do not appreciate having to clear up behind you after you have gone.
CORRECT DRESS FOR RALLIES
We are keen to maintain these standards; you risk being turned away from rallies if you are not correctly dressed.
- Hat, Tagged by DC or Sec to show it conforms to Pony Club Standards.

At all Pony Club mounted events - Rallies, Team trainings, Hacks and Pony Club Competitions (ours or other branches) -:
A hat must be worn at all times whilst mounted, which must conform to one the following minimum standards and must also contain the BSI Kitemark and CE mark. PAS 015:1998 or EN 1384:1996 or BS EN 1384:1997 Alternatively either the Snell E2001 with the official Snell label with number or AS/NZs 3838 1998 or AS/NZs 3838 2003 with the SAI Global symbol. These must also bear the CE mark. *N.B. New Rule for 2008. No hats with a fixed or crushable peak will be allowed for cross-country, either during competitions or schooling (i.e. rallies) at 0.80m and above.* Your hat needs to be tagged by a Sally Lefory or Fran Lockyer, please contact them direct to arrange a suitable time and place
- Hat Cover: Black, Brown or Navy Blue.
- Hair Net for girls (and long haired boys!)
- No Jewellery
- White or Blue shirt with collar.
- Pony Club Tie. (Stock if preferred by older members)
- Pony Club Badge with Badge felt behind.
- Tweed Jacket or Pony Club or Navy Sweatshrit (No blousons or other assorted jackets.)
- In Wet Weather Plain waterproof coats
- Jodhpurs. (Plain coloured only.)
- Jodhpur boots with clips or chaps/Riding boots. (No Tassles on Chaps)
- Gloves.
- Cross country: Navy Pony Club sweatshirts to go under or over body protectors.
- Body Protectors remain optional for Pony Club Members except when jumping cross country fences.
