Letter from District Commissioner
Winter 2008/09
Dear Member
A big well done to you all for having a very successful summer. Our teams have done brilliantly, qualifying and representing us at the championships and coming home with team and individual places in all disciplines, including our polo team. Well done to you all. Also well done to all of you who have taken tests and achievement badges; I hope you will continue to climb up the test ladder - all the way to A test.
Subscription time is coming up. Don’t forget to renew in time so that you can get your name down early for camp; we are running all three again, so look out for details (on the website).
Please could parents remember to fill in the Gift Aid section on the membership form. It greatly helps the Branch’s funds.
A new rule from Headquarters now requires every child at a mounted rally or other Pony Club activity to wear a medical armband; please contact Valerie Greenwell if you require one (her new address is below, and we wish her well in her new home).
Don’t forget that everything is now on the website, but if you want a paper copy, please enclose with your subscription a s.a.e. for each holiday.
The Christmas holidays are mainly based at Sands Farm. Hopefully everything will go ahead even if the weather is bad.
Congratulations to all the mums, trainers and committee who have just taken and passed their First Aid at Work certificate. Now every rally will have qualified cover.
Don’t forget to come neatly dressed to all the rallies. Body protectors are required for any jumping – and your medical armbands.
Prizegiving is just after Christmas Great food, lots of awards, a bar for dad, and a mystery guest!!
All that remains is for me to wish you all a happy Christmas and successful New Year.
