CHRISTMAS 2008

A big welcome to all our new members and we look forward to meeting you over the Christmas Holidays.

I am pleased to announce that Sarah Bingham has agreed to be the Portman Hunt Pony Club's Assistant District Commissioner and I am sure you will give her lots of support.

A happy Indoor Show Jumping competition took place at Half Moon Stud on the Tuesday of half term and it was nice to see so many of you having a go.  A big thank you to Damaris Lockwood and Sally Cooper for organising the day and to Marcia Coombs and her team for building the courses.

During the half term holidays Amelia Allen and Holly Druce passed their C test and Charley Stockdale passed both her B riding and B care which was a triumph to pass both sections on one day at the first attempt.  Well done to you all.

It is subscription renewal time so please return as soon as possible to the Secretary Mrs Avril Griffin.  You will not be covered by the pony club insurance after 31^st December so please make this a priority.  If you are a tax payer please do sign the Gift Aid form at the bottom as this is an incredibly easy way for the branch to make some extra money with no costs to yourself.

Portman Pony Club clothing is for sale for Christmas.  Do check your emails for an order form or the website or ring Charlotte Jenkinson on 01258 830280.

All members are very welcome to hunt with the Portman Hunt.  The prices are, Under 10 years old are free, 11-16 year olds £20 per day or £200 for the season and 16-22 year olds are £40/day (£80 for Vale days ie Christmas Eve) or £400 for the season.
