Old Surrey & Burstow Hunt Branch
Christmas programme

Upcoming Events page and Scheduled Activities page has a lot of similar information.
The Upcoming events page is Calendar based so it can be searched by other pony clubs by Date or Discipline and the information held is limited.  This is why we also have this page; Scheduled activities - so that we can put in more information that is relevant to this branch only.

REMINDERS

Jewellery
Earrings, nose studs etc.  are not permitted at Pony Club.If you have piercing done you will not be allowed to ride until the keepers can be safely removed. Plasters to cover them are no longer allowed.

Hats
If you have a new hat do not forget to ask Mrs Bradley or Mrs Bernard to check and tag it for you. Polo hats can be tagged by Chris Eaton.

Stitching
Stitching on stirrup leathers or any other straps must be checked and re-stitched as necessary.

Stirrups
Stirrup irons should be checked for size whenever you have new boots. Allow 2 fingers width between the widest part of boot and the edge of the iron.

Tying up
Ponies should always be tied up with a quick release knot( your rally organiser or instructor will show you how) Never leave the headcollar dangling on the ground while you ride.Untie the rope  and hang the headcollar and rope up .Accidents have happened with ponies getting caught up and breaking a leg.Haynets must be tied well above chest level so they are not near the pony’s legs for the same reason.

Dress code

Black jackets are allowed but never look as well as Tweed on young people.

If you are representing the Branch especially in a team and are under 17 please wear tweed it is correct and looks much smarter.

OS&B sweatshirts, saddlecloths, medical armbands, ties and badges are available  from Mrs Davenport.
