Annual Autumn Horse Trials, Tenantry Farm, August 30th 08

How lucky we were with the weather again (apart from a small blip), for our Annual Event held as usual at Tenantry Farm, Rockbourne.  Many thanks once again to our hosts Rob and Ailsa McCleod for their superb venue and lovely cross-country course. The event this year was once again organised by Bobbie with the invaluable help of David Chamberlain who had the unenviable task of fitting record entries into a tight schedule. Many thanks to them both for all their hard work in making the day such a success. A One Day Event does of course rely on an immense amount of help (in excess of 70 people), from jump judges and dressage judges(plus writers), to stewards, scorers, starters, runners and collectors who all worked very hard all day.  Hopefully they all enjoyed themselves and will be ‘up for it’ next year! To see so many members of the Hursley branch competing at all levels was wonderful, many trying their first Horse Trials ever! Hopefully some of you will have enjoyed it so much that you will be considering our teams next year – look out for training in the newsletters – you would be more than welcome to come along and join in.   How can the pony club even begin to thank all those kind volunteers, parents and friends of the Hursley who give up their time so freely to enable us to host such an event. THANK YOU EVERYONE.
