FOR LOAN 12 HAND PONY - Cosford Meadowlark known to his friends as Larky is looking for a new loan home as a leading rein pony.  We have had him for 13 years when he was bought for my son, then aged 7.  He is a very special little chap who I could not bear to sell (the pony that is, not my son), hence Larky is still with us having been loaned out to several local people for their small children.  He is a delight to have around, very sweet natured and will be groomed, kissed and cuddled all day long.  He has quite a  bubbly character and loves to go fast,  but is also perfectly behaved on the lead rein for a small child.  He jumps well up to 2' but does not like to jump much higher, has hunted and played.  He is good at mounted games, won several showing classes and is adored by all who know him.  He is brilliant in traffic, to box in a trailer or lorry, clipping and shoeing is a breeze.  He does have mild Cushings so has to be clipped in the summer and although he has never had laminitis, I watch his weight very carefully as he is a typical small pony and gets fat very easily.  If you would like to chat about possibly offering him a loan home please contact Jane Robbins on 01420 564337

Teddy is an 8 years old palomino section C gelding, approx 138cms. He would be a good all round pony club type pony, but is also quality enough to show in M&M classes. He was shown as a 5-6 year old, when he went to the BSPS Winter Championships and was 6th in the evening performance - that season he never came home without a rosette. For the last two years Teddy has been a field companion and ride escort -He has been to pony club rallies including SJ practice which he loved. He competed once SJ and was fourth with a double clear. He happily goes through water, jumps logs and ditches and is hacked out, alone or in company, by a 14 year old. Teddy is excellent to catch, load, shoe, bath and trim and is up to date with immunisations, worming and teeth check. We would love to keep Teddy but he needs to go where his potential will be fully realised. He has proved he can hold his own at affiliated shows on the flat and undoubtedly would do the same in WHP classes or would make a lovely allround pony. Hi We have a much loved pony 14 2 just FOR LOAN who is 12  and looking for some fun. She helped my daughter learn to ride, and has done Pony Club camp. A mare pretty ,and she is fast. so not one for a inexperienced novices. She loves to hack, jump cross country, likes to be up front in hunting field and she is very sure footed, goat like in fact on her feet. She stops  sometimes on show jumping  events but she just needs a strong rider, who really will push her on. Any good rider looking for a fun pony who has been underused due to daughter outgrowing her will love her. Can be seen in Houghton near STOCKBRIDGE. She would love 
pony racing as she is very fast. She can go all day  hunting, has 
hunted with RA Hursley and VWH.

Tommy is a 15hh 12 year old gelding and is currently owned by my teenage daughter who has been doing local level show jumping, sponsored rides and hacking. With previous owners he has competed BSJA with considerable success having jumped in British Novice Regional Finals and Double Clear in Senior Newcomers before being ridden in Junior affiliated classes. He has a fairly straight forward jump with quite a pop in him, his BSJA winnings are £359 actual and £268 national. This Snaffle mouthed horse would suit a teenager that wants to have some fun. Tommy is a lovable horse who is full of character and easy to handle, he is good with the farrier, easy to clip, good to catch and a dream to load in either a trailer or lorry. Tommy will hack out alone or in company but can be excitable when hacking so no novices please, he is currently on livery at a local competition yard where my daughter has been having jumping lessons, with excellent trial facilities. We are looking for a five star home for Tommy where he will have fun and be kept busy. He is only for sale due to college commitments.

12hh, 20 year old, grey, mare.  Sadly outgrown by current owner.  Fantastic 1st off the lead rein pony, that doe not show her age.  Been in the Hampshire Hunt Pony Club for many years and completed the last two seasons junior camps.  Clear SJ and XC.  Jumping 2’3’’ to 2’6’’ clear rounds with current rider.  Good to Box, Shoe, hack out alone and in company and stands impeccably at shows.

 

My daughter will be sad to see her go but has completely outgrown her.  Holly has grown in confidence since riding her, not wanting to jump anything to start with and now I can’t keep her on the ground!!

When I bought him for my daughter she was 10yrs old. I wanted to find her the next step on from her first pony. Something that was going to challenge her riding and ask questions of her but not undo all the work and confidence her first pony had given her. He did all this and so much more. She has now moved onto 148’s and found a real love and talent for show jumping all because of him.

 

My daughter takes him out for hacks on the roads, across open fields and XC courses by herself, he is equally happy in company. He is forward going but my daughter has never had any trouble stopping him, even when she was 10yrs old , she is a tiny slip of a person.

 

If you are looking for your first ( 2^nd type pony) this is your man.

 

As I write this ad my heart is breaking but he loves his job and would hate to be stood around doing nothing. He is ready to nurture and take his next jockey to the top.
