PONY CLUB RACE DAY
Lingfield Park Racecourse - Friday 4th June
We had an extremely good but hot day at Lingfield with 53 entries divided between six races from Pony Club members from all round the country. Hattie Bunday was Eridge's sole representative and I am very pleased to say she won her race - well done Hattie!

A shame that no-one else entered - as I have said before, the conditions of the races are geared towards true Pony Club members and ponies (with the exception of the two Open races), so no-one should be apprehensive about having to compete against proper racing ponies. VISIT TO NEWMARKET
There is the possibility of a visit to Newmarket to be organised by the Thoroughbred Breeders Association for branches of the Pony Club. The day would comprise of an introduction to the training grounds of Newmarket, followed by a visit to the British Racing School and a tour of the National Stud. This is obviously aimed at those who are interested in learning about the racing industry and if anyone would like to go, please contact Mrs. Tindall. Date to be confirmed.

Tash Atkinson wins at Wincanton
Congratulations to Tash Atkinson for winning the Open 138cm Pony Club Pony Race at Wincanton on 8th May. This now qualifies her to enter the Charles Owen Series.
