Working rallies will be held at Somerford Park Farm on the following dates:

Sat 2 October
Sun 14 November
Dress for rallies should be beige or cream jodhpurs, black or brown boots, your blue East Cheshire polo shirt (or white shirt and Pony Club tie) and blue sweatshirt. Please make sure your hat has been checked and tagged, and girls should wear a hairnet. Ponies should have black, brown or white girths and numnahs or East Cheshire saddlecloths.

Tuesday 20 April 6.30-8.30pm: Equine behaviour + Plaiting (Park House, Holmes Chapel, CW4 8AU)
Thursday 6 May 6.30-8.30pm: Public Speaking + Poisonous plants (The Farm House, Green Lane, Alderley Edge SK9 7UW)
Tuesday 18 May 6.30-8.30pm: Countryside Access + Tack Cleaning (Park House, Holmes Chapel, CW4 8AU)
Thursday 3 June 6.30-8.30pm: Star Gazing + Knots (The Farm House, Green Lane, Alderley Edge SK9 7UW)
Tuesday 15 June 6.30-8.30pm: Map reading + Wildlife (Edge Barn, Congleton CW12 3JJ)
Thursday 1 July 6.30-8.30pm: Flags of the equestrian nations + Security Awareness (The Farm House, Green Lane, Alderley Edge SK9 7UW)
Cap: £5 per rally

If you are interested in taking your Pony Club tests please contact Kathryn Leech - either send a slip or email, stating which test you are working towards (D, D+, C, C+, B). Kathryn will contact you with dates for training and tests.
You now need to complete the appropriate level of Road Rider training before you can take your proficiency tests. See details below.

There are now three levels of Road Rider Training:
The Mini Road Rider Achievement Badge 2009 is taken at E to D test level. This must be passed before the D test certificate can be awarded.
The Road Rider Achievement Badge 2009 is taken at D+ to C test level. This badge must be passed before the C test certificate can be awarded.
The Road Rider Test 2009 is taken at C+ to B test level. Members should attain this before going on to take their B Test.
We have organised some preliminary unmounted training at Somerford on Wednesday 7 April for all those aged 11 years and over who have already passed their D test. This will be followed by additional mounted training and a ridden test at a later date. You must complete all stages of the training.
