Minis Camp - 11/12 July

Smallwood Livery Centre 

For 10 years & under, non-residential
To include show jumping, cross country, games and treasure hunt.  Please bring a picnic lunch

Minis Cross Country Rally - Sunday 2 August

We are holding a cross country rally for our younger, less experienced members at Smallwood Livery Centre on Sunday 2 August, from 1.00 - 5.00 pm.  Numbers are strictly limited and the rally will be for those who are capable of jumping small jumps but need experience and instruction on a cross country course.  All members must wear a body protector.

Pre-Minis Camp Rally 

We will be holding a rally on Saturday 20 June for all those hoping to go to Minis Camp this year.  It will be on the Ash Arena at Somerford from 10am til 12.  Please send your entry slip and £8 cap to Debbie Garnsey, Crossfields, Crossfields Lane, Mossley, Congleton, CW12 3BL.  (Minis Camp is on 11-12 July)

Pony Club Proficiency Tests

If you are interested in taking your Pony Club tests please contact Kathryn Leech - either send a slip or email, stating which test you are working towards (D, D+, C, C+, B).  Kathryn will contact you with dates for training and tests.

Working Rallies 2009

Working rallies are held at Somerford Park Farm on the following Saturday mornings:

24 January
7 February
28 March
25 April
6 June

Rallies include flatwork and jumping and there is a cap of £8 for each rally.  Please send your cheque and entry slip (see below) to Mrs K Leech, Park House, Mill Lane, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, CW4 8AU by the Monday before the rally.  You will need to ring Kathryn to find out the time of your session on the Thursday evening before, between 7.00 and 8.30 pm.  Her phone number is 01477 532775.

Dress for rallies should be beige or cream jodhpurs, black or brown boots, your blue East Cheshire polo shirt (or white shirt and Pony Club tie) and blue sweatshirt.  Please make sure your hat has been checked and tagged, and girls should wear a hairnet.  Ponies should have black, brown or white girths and numnahs or East Cheshire saddlecloths.

Achievement Badge Rallies 2009

Badge rallies are held on Thursday evenings at Park House (Gollins Farm), Prestbury or Park House, Mill Lane, Holmes Chapel.  Please send all entries to Mrs K Leech, Park House, Mill Lane, Holmes Chapel, CW4 8AU by the Monday before the rally.  All rallies are 6.30 - 8.30 pm.

9 April - "Saddlery and Tack Cleaning" Prestbury Cap £5.  Please bring an item of tack with you to clean.

21 May - "Feeding" and "Bird Watching" Holmes Chapel Cap £6

18 June - "Perfect Paddock" and "Dressage Arenas" Prestbury Cap £5

11 August - "Plaiting" and "Wild Flowers" Holmes Chapel Cap £6

22 September - "How to be Lunged" and "Care of the Horse's Foot" Holmes Chapel Cap £5

 

Riding and Road Safety Training

We will be organising some training dates for the Pony Club Riding and Road Safety Test in the spring. More details will be posted here soon.
