The East Cheshire team of Polly Feather, Sophie Feather, Ashley Daniel and Chloe Vell fought hard to try to win the trophy again for East Cheshire but it was not to be. We started after the second leg in second place by 46 points and could not make up the ground. We had a spooky start but also some excellent test riding in the first test and Ashley was placed 6th and Chloe 3rd . In the second test Chloe came 1st and Ashley 3rd.
The competition was fierce and the standard was very high, Polly and Sophie just missing out on the placings.
It was a lovely finish for Crewe, though, as they won the cup and as most know they closed the branch the next day so it was a fitting end and East Cheshire are fortunate to gain some of their members.
Well done to Ashley Daniel, Chloe Vell and Charlotte Grant who represented East Cheshire at the Dengie Winter League Dressage Championships at Moreton Morrell. Click below for a full report of their successes:

Congratulations to our East Cheshire teams for their successes at the Area qualifier. We have three teams going through to the Pony Club Championships in August - Open, Intermediate and Novice - which is a fantastic result.
Our Open team of Millie King, Louise Barnes, Charlotte Holdcroft and Chloe Vell were placed first, qualifying for the Open Dressage Championships at Draycott House, Derbyshire. Millie finished individually 2nd and Louise 4th.
Our Intermediate teams were first and second with Sam Foxall, Ashley Daniel, Kate Barnes and Leona Lock-Williams qualifying for the Intermediate Championships, also at Draycott. Our other team of Sophie Watson, Polly Feather, Emily Barnes and Charlotte Grant finished a close second. All 8 riders were placed in their arenas.
We had three teams entered in the Novice qualifier with Sophie Feather, Antonia Oakes, Olivia Cross and Sarah Gibson qualifying for the Novice Championships at Kelsall. Congratulations also to the highest-placed East Cheshire junior competitors in the four sections of class 3 (Novice), Olivia Muncaster, Sarah Gibson, Antonia Oakes & Adam Ashall, who each win a training session generously donated by BD judge & trainer Melanie Mitchell.
Well done to you all!
Congratulations to all our members who competed at the Rebecca Weston Combined Training on Saturday 20 June.
Millie Bromley-Davenport was 1st individual in the 10 and under class with best dressage and a lovely clear round. Well done Millie!
Samantha Foxall, Emma Thomas, Emily Barnes and Ashley Daniel won Class 3: 14 years & over
