THE PROGRAMME 2010: we are changing the format at bit this time. The DIARY has been expanded and Activities and General Information have been merged into WHAT'S ON (or everything else you need to know). These will be in colour on the Home Page with black and white versions under the tabs. COMMITTEE remains unchanged.
Pony Club rallies, daytime and evening, are the starting point for all the varied Pony Club activities; and there are also the more specialised show jumping, cross country and polo rallies from time to time.
A Cross-Country-in-a-School rally with Helen Cole this spring. The ponies looked a bit bored while Helen was building the jumps, but everyone enjoyed jumping the corners and points that she made - there are other photos under the Rallies and Training tab
The Avon Vale Pony Club was established in 1924 and is part of Area 14. The branch is located in Wiltshire and has some 240 members.
The Avon Vale runs four annual camps, has groups for dressage, show jumping, eventing, tetrathlon and pony club racing as well as running daytime and evening rallies, fun rides, a show, horse trials, hunter trials and dismounted activities. Whilst the Avon Vale has been highly successful at Area and Pony Club Championship level competitions, we also have plenty of fun and learning opportunities for all ages and abilities.
Internationally the Pony Club has a membership of over 110,000 across 18 countries, making it the largest association of riders in the world. Most British equestrian medal winners at all Olympic Games were once members of the Pony Club.
