NOVICE EVENT COMPETITION

Thank you very much to the East Lothian Branch for organising such a well run event. Thanks also go to the Lauderdale and the Berwickshire Branches who ran the SJ and the Dress. Everyone who took part had a very good time and almost all got round safely. Best wishes to the teams and the individuals who have qualified for the Championships in Cheshire.

XC Comp

The Eglinton Branch are running a XC competition on Saturday, 26th July at Auchinleck with classes from Novice PC to Open Riding Club. It is a separate competition but will run alongside the Tetrathlon XC. For entry forms, please see the Eglinton website - www.ehpc.org.uk

 

ZONE GAMES

The team from Orkney were fourth on the first day and the Eglinton team were fourth on the second day. The Ted Hunter trophy is awarded for the best Scottish team at the Zone Finals and so they will share the cup, with both names engraved on it for 2008.
Please let me know if you have any comments about the new format.

TEST TRAINING

Liz Love will run a mock AH test on Sat 4th Oct for next year's candidates. Let Liz know asap.
If you have anyone ready for AH this year, Area 1 will run a test on Sat 6th Sept.

CUBITT AWARDS

They are a way of saying thank you to people who have given Branches at least 20 years service.
I am very pleased to tell you that we had three in Area 19 this year. Congratulations go Marjorie Spence from Dumfriesshire Hunt and to Muriel Colquhoun and Gail Smith from L&R. They were all very worthy candidates and certainly deserve recognition for all they have done for so many years.
Gail feels very touched and thanks all the people who have sent their congratulations.

CAMPS

I hope all the camps have been very successful and that all the members have enjoyed themselves.

RED ALERT!!!!!!

I am still looking for the Area cups and trophies. Please bring them back for the Dressage and Show Jumping. I was very disappointed that the Colonel Tim Washington Memorial trophy which is awarded to the best Novice Eventing team was not returned.
Please find it and bring it back so that this year's winners can share it.
