We are a branch with 55 members with ages ranging from 4 to 23 and we are delighted to have so many boys in the branch, as well as Associate Members (21-25 years). We arrange acitivies almost every week of the year and try to cater for all our members.
Our permanent site is situated at Llandybie near Ammanford with easy access and is approx 5 miles from the Cross Hands roundabout. We have very good facilities on our own 22 acres. We have a Clubhouse with toilets, showers, kitchen and the club office. We also have a very large outdoor arena 40m x 80m and a cross country course with novice and intermediate fences which is used for training purposes. Having such a large outdoor arena means we can hold open competitions throughout the year - which we do on a monthly basis. These competitions are important to us as not ony do they give our members the chance to compete without having to travel too far they also bring in some of the funding required to maintain our facilities.
Each year we run 2 camps - one for our youngest members and the other for members 9 years and over. This works much better than having all our members at one camp as mini-camp can be targeted to our littlest riders and they get far more sleep than members have at main camp!
If you are interested in joining a branch of the Pony Club and live in the Ammanford, Cross Hands, Pontarddulais area either telephone our DC or branch secretary or come along to one of our activities and have a chat with one of the committee.
